Ingredients for Matar Keema

100 g Desi ghee
• 1 teaspoon. cumin seed
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoons. garlic ginger paste
• ½ – 1 teaspoon of dried chili flakes
• ½ tsp. ground turmeric
• 3 medium tomatoes
• 4 small green chilies
• 500 g cow meat (minced meat)
• 2 cups of water
• 250 g peeled peas
• 3 teaspoons. finely chopped cilantro

Step by Step Method for Matar Keema

Add two cups of fresh water with minced beef in a mud pot over medium heat. After 20 minutes, add matar (peas) and chopped onion and cook for 15 mints. Check if the ingredients are cooked. If yes add desi ghee. Add the hot cumin seeds and cook for about 30 seconds.
Add the garlic and ginger paste and sizzle for about 30 seconds, then add the chili flakes, paprika, ground turmeric, ground cumin and ground coriander. The mixture will give off an aroma of herbs and will catch you on taste.
Stir in the base, add water if necessary and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for another 20 minutes, keeping the heat low and stirring the mixers until the water is left and the oil leaves the Keema and mater.
Once cooked, reduce the sauce/curry to desired thickness if necessary. Season with salt to taste. Before serving, add some garam masala and chopped cilantro.
